 EarthGuard® FM for Seasonal Erosion Control

EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix (FM) is a patent pending formula which combines EarthGuard and fiber to form a matrix for full seasonal erosion control. EarthGuard® FM utilizes the immediate erosion inhibiting/soil stabilizing characteristics of a nontoxic water permeable soil stabilizing liquid emulsion-designed to protect soil, prevent erosion and flocculate sediment.

A one-step application of EarthGuard® FM and seed can achieve long-term erosion control. Recent results from the Caltrans-funded San Diego State University/Soil Erosion Research Lab demonstrates EarthGuard® FM to be as effective as bonded fiber matrices and some erosion blankets. With these results and proven field performance, it's easy to see why EarthGuard® FM is so effective and why it saves contractors and developers hundreds to thousands of dollars per acre over other erosion control practices. Typical applied costs for EarthGuard® FM range from 3 to 6 cents per square foot for slopes and 2 to 2 5 cents per square foot on EarthGuard® FM range from 3 to 6 cents per square foot for slopes and 2 to 2.5 cents per square foot on pads compared to 8.5 to 15 cents per square foot for these other similar products.
